The Grand installs Vitaphone and Moviephone equipment to support more advanced sound films.

A wide screen is added to enhance the movie-going experience.

June 30, 1985
After 84 years of showing films, The Grand screens its last movie.

1989
The building is remodeled and reopened as a fine dining restaurant.

2001
The Grand Theatre is transformed into The Grand Event Center, serving as a venue for weddings, reunions, concerts, and special events.
